Day 2: Parma to La Spezia

After a hearty breakfast of cheese, cured meats, and espresso, it was time to set out from Parma to La Spezia, which is located just outside the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre. This coastal forest area is best known for the five small villages which offer great views, traditional cuisine, and hellacious hiking.

The villages of the Cinque Terre National Park will have their own post, so let's take a look at the route between Parma and La Spezia.

The route goes through the Appenino Tosco-Emiliano National Park, which was quite nice. Here are some pictures:

The first video from this trip was taken on this route. Despite a bit of rain and cold weather, the road was great for motorcycling. Once all the bits of video are stitched together, the resulting video will be added in a subsequent post.

Coming up: an update on the tire that is losing pressure, and we'll visit three-fifths of Cinque Terre.
