More than once on this trip, I've spotted outdoor fitness centers attached to lodging facilities like hotels and motels. I didn't think anything of it at first, but now I realize that this is the latest trend in fitness and the Italians are spearheading the charge to the next level of human evolution. I tried to take some pictures before, but most of the facilities were locked down tighter than a Foxconn plant when the New York Times comes snooping around.

Now, in a world exclusive, gymcharles.com brings you a first look at one of these high-tech facilities. For the sake of those who helped to obtain these photos, I can reveal neither the location nor the name of the hotel which houses these facilities; I can only confirm that it is in Italy.

The bike rack was very obviously put there as camouflage for the stationary bike.

These facilities were so advanced that it wasn't even necessary to use the machines to glean the benefits of exercise. Just by standing near them I became a Swoledier of the Swole Patrol, and I was ready to go to the beach. Tao Beach.
