It's (Not) So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday

Boyz II Men were wrong. Although it's not easy to say goodbye to yesterday, saying goodbye isn't as hard as they make it out to be. Further proof that those 90's RnB guys were SNAGs (definition 1).

Yesterday, Black and Yellow returned to the stable to which it belongs. After three weeks, three countries, nearly 4000 miles, countless fake wheelies, hundreds of liters of petrol*, and one broken turn indicator, it was time to part ways.

In reality, it's not the condition or the (ab)use of the bike that made it easy to take the final step of this trip, to "say goodbye", so to speak. It's more the idea that this has been a great adventure, and returning the bike means that it's over and that a new one can begin. The prospect of starting a new adventure is what makes it easy to bring this one to a close.
