La Spezia - San Giuliano Terme

A newly sealed tire and clear skies set the stage for the journey from La Spezia in the direction of Pisa, to see its ill-fated tower.

Google Maps showed that the route ran along the coast, which is always a pleasant experience:

Unfortunately, the beach, and subsequently the ocean, was not visible from the road. Also, between getting a late start and running in to some traffic, there was no time to go to Pisa.

Over all the day was uneventful, with one exception: I had decided to take the ferry the next morning from Livorno to Bastia, Corsica. I have a tendency to make bad decisions, but this was definitely not one of them.
