Lunch date

In clockwise order, here are Letizia, James, Caroline, and Ernesto. James is a little hard to see and I think he intended for that to happen.

I had the distinct honor of enjoying lunch with these lovely couples.

Letizia and Ernesto are on vacation celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary and James and Caroline are on vacation from "just outside of Daytona Beach" in Florida; they have been married for 48 years.

Lunch started normally enough, with everyone doing their own thing, then Caroline, who speaks no Italian, started talking to Letizia, who speaks no English. In an effort to extend foreign policy and continue healthy international relations, I did my best to translate between the two.

By the time I left, I'm pretty sure that all parties were sufficiently confused.
