Other Side of the World, Other Side of the Road

You saw a sneak peak of the latest trip in the Going Forward post and in another post, you met Tighty Whitey.

Here are some more pictures of Ol' Tighty:

The thing about Tighty Whitey is that we did not get along at all. I'm not trying to anthropomorphize the bike (no more than I've already done, anyhow), but certain aspects about this bike made it very uncomfortable to ride.

At first, I thought that riding on the left side of the road had something to do with it, but as the trip progressed, I learned that wasn't the case. The technical details about why it was uncomfortable are boring, but you'll definitely hear more about how this bike and I tried to go our separate ways at inopportune times during this trip.

Coming up, I'll tell you about the first of those inopportune times on the route between Christchurch and Queenstown.
