Road to Gijón

Here are some pictures taken on Day 6 on the way to Gijón.

The day consisted of significant elevation changes from sea level at the beach to the mountains that you see in these pictures. I have no idea what the elevation was, but it was higher than Charlie Sheen at Burning Man. For the record, I don't know if Charlie Sheen ever went to Burning Man, but I imagine that if he did, he would be really high.

There happened to be this stone picnic table at the top of the mountain. As expected in Europe, the service was terrible; the waiter never came, so I left.

I tried to get the waiter's attention by standing on the table, and while I was up there, I took these pictures.

It started raining just after coming down from the mountain. I learned that this region is particularly wet. Riding in the rain is not awesome, and there will be a separate post discussing riding in the elements.
